17th Edition Software

There are a growing number of items that interface with your computer, often to upload information such as sound files and photographs.  Many of us regularly do this with our mobile phones. Manufacturers of electrical test equipment are increasingly enhancing their 21^st Century test tools so that data can be transferred to a computer.

Data transfer not only increases your data storage potential, it opens up a whole new world of data analysis and professional looking reports and certificates.

What you get from each test software package depends on the model you buy, though most of the software offers some level of data analysis in addition to the data transfer itself.  The Fluke DMS 0100, which works with the Fluke-1653 Multifunction Tester and the Fluke-6500 PAT Tester, exports to Excel files.

Some of the software, such as that used with the Seaward Powerplus 1557, gives you even more control over your data, enabling you to feed the data into 17^th  Edition certificates (Part-P compliant BS 7671, NICEIC, NAPIT and ECA). Information can be used for customer/client record tracing and re-testing.
