Seaward Apollo 500+ PAT Tester - New 5th Edition

The Seaward Apollo 500+ 5^th Edition PAT Tester is an updated version of Seaward’s Apollo 500+ PAT Tester and is compliant with the new code of practice, this includes Class 2 FE, protective and touch leakage limits to 5mA (as the new code of practice now requires testers to have a pass-fail limit of 5mA for all leakage tests) as well as other new tests as per the 5th Edition.

The new 5th Edition firmware will also be available to download free of charge for current Apollo users who will be able to update to the new firmware and benefit from the new test features.

Note: in existing Apollos touch current tests will be limited by the hardware to 3.5mA.

The Seaward 5th Edition Apollo 500+ keeps the same features that made the 500+ an unrivalled PAT tester but now includes firmware and hardware updates to ensure it is compliant with the release of the 5th Edition Code of Practice. 

Seawards Apollo 500+ features the ability to use QR codes (Using Seaward’s Test n Tag Elite 2 printer you can now print labels that include our unique QR data code) and is compatible with Seawards new QR Barcode scanner, meaning you can scan in a previous test and easily and quickly amend data fields. Also new is the QR DATA Viewer app (available for both Android and iOS devices) the app allows users to scan the labels and view the test information and share the data via email.

Hardware Features

The Apollo 500+ has the ability to exchange the external rechargeable battery pack, meaning less downtime whilst you’re PAT Testing on a larger scale, simply change the battery over and carry on testing! The 500+ still has the option to run via mains power. The 2020 5th edition hardware update also allows for the increase in protective and touch leakage limits to 5mA rather than 3.5m.A.
