The Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator is a low-cost, comprehensive and easy-to-use signal generator with RS-232 and GPIB remote control interfaces. It is suitable for development, test and service work within the 2GHz spectrum.

The Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator has a frequency range of 150 kHz to 2GHz and is able to provide high-frequency accuracy as well as low phase noise and leakage. This signal generator also includes flexible modulation capabilities.

High-Precision and Stability

To ensure excellent signal frequency against temperature and ageing, the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator utilises a fully synthesised source locked to a temperature compensated crystal oscillator. As a result, ageing is better than 1ppm over one year and the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator has an accuracy better than 1ppm over 15°C to 30°C.

Alternatively, the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator can be locked to an external 10MHz source.

As mentioned above, the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator has a frequency range of 150kHz to 2GHz which can be set to a resolution of 10Hz. The Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator includes up/ down keys and a rotary encoder for stepping; frequency steps can be set to any value. The Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator’s frequency stepping system makes conducting precise amplitude response characterisation tests easy.

Wide Amplitude Range & Low Leakage

Additionally, the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator has an amplitude range of -127 dBm to +7dBm (0.1µV to 500mV into 50Ω) which can be set to a resolution of 0.1 dBm (0.01µV).

The Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator supports stepping the level which can be used to make quick assessments of circuit linearity and dynamic range. Depending on the entry mode, output level steps can be set between 0.1dBm and 100dBm or 0.01µV and 100mV.

To ensure very low output leakage, the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator performs meticulous internal screening, enabling the user to conduct accurate low-level measurements in sensitive circuits, such as receivers.

Additionally, the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator’s advanced attenuator design ensures excellent flatness over the entire frequency range.

Comprehensive Modulation

The Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator is also able to support AM, FM and Phase modulation provided by either an internal or external source. The Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator’s wide modulation range and low distortion make it suitable for most modulated signal test procedures.

Easy to Use

As mentioned above, a rotary encoder or up and down keys can be used to increment/ decrement frequency and output level data. Additionally, the operator is able to adjust these parameters using steps of a user-programmed size. Alternatively, data can be entered into the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator numerically using its 0-9 keys.  

Moreover, as the output level can be set in either dBm or µV/mV, the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator features a button which will translate settings from one unit to the other.

All the major signal parameters are indicated simultaneously via the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator's four-line, backlit display.

To improve the speed and precision of repetitive testing, the Aim-TTi TGR2050 Synthesised RF Signal Generator can store up to nine instrument set-ups in its non-volatile memory.
