Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver Description

The Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver detects signals in wires and cables allowing users to locate and trace circuits.

It can be used as an independent instrument (without the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-TE Transmitter) to perform passive tracing of wires and cables. Alternatively, the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver can be used with the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-TE Transmitter for actively tracing wires and cables. It is equipped with four tracing modes:

  • Quick Scan Wire Tracing: for detecting wires from greater distances
  • Precision Wire Tracing: for accurately locating wires and/or faults behind walls, ceilings and floors
  • Breaker/ Fuse Identification: an advanced tracing function with automatic sensitivity that can be used to locate breakers and fuses precisely, quickly and easily
  • Non-contact Voltage Detection: verifies whether a wire is energised or de-energised (for use during passive tracing)

Furthermore, the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver includes a tip sensor, allowing the user to trace wires in tight spaces such as corners and junction boxes.

When a signal is detected the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver will issue an audible alert and indicates the strength of the signal numerically and via a bar graph on its full-colour LCD display.  It also includes a green arrow for indicating when the correct breaker/ fuse has been identified, as well as indicators for energised and de-energised wires.

To ensure precise cable, wire, breaker and fuse location, the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver is equipped with adjustable sensitivity.

Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-TE Transmitter Description

As mentioned above the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-TE Transmitter can be used with the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver to actively trace wires, cables, breakers and fuses.

The Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-TE Transmitter can be used on de-energised and energised wires up to 600V AC/DC in CAT I-III electrical environments; it issues a signal which is detected by the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver enabling it to trace and locate circuits, faults and electrical components.

The Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-TE Transmitter features a High, Low and Loop mode allowing the user to adjust the signal to suit the application. He/she can see which mode is engaged via the Transmission mode indicator and the Loop mode indicator.

When used with the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver set to Breaker/ Fuse Identification mode, the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-TE Transmitter can identify the correct breaker or fuse. Confusion caused by multiple false positives is eradicated as these tools identify the fuse or breaker with the highest recorded signal.

The Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-TE Transmitter is an easy-to-use and adjustable signal transmitter capable of expanding the Beha-Amprobe AT-6000-RE Receiver’s scope-for-use.
