The Beha-Amprobe UAT-610-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit is ready-to-use and suitable for the following applications:
- Locating energised 50/60Hz cables carrying current
- Locating metallic utilities: pipes, and energised and de-energised cables
- Tracing individual pipes and cables (energised and de-energised)
- Tracing non-metallic pipes, sewer lines and conduits (metal fish tape or cable is required)
In addition to this, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-610-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit can be used to measure depth, current, output current, voltage and resistance. Two people can use this kit for advanced cable location. Moreover, when used with a Beha-Amprobe AF-600-EUR A-Frame accessory the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter can detect ground faults; please see the following video for further information.
The Beha-Amprobe UAT-610-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit is capable of measuring depths up to 6m accurately. It is also able to detect and trace utilities buried up to 30m below the ground. To enable tracing of both energised and de-energised utilities, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter and Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver are equipped with multiple tracing modes. Please see the video below for an overview of the tracing modes available.
Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver passive modes:
- Passive Power (50/60Hz): trace energised lines conducting current without using the transmitter
- Passive radio (RF): utilises surrounding radio waves to trace underground utilities without using the transmitter
Furthermore, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver includes semi-automatic gain control which quickly detects the tracing signal and allows the operator to adjust the sensitivity of the receiver enabling quick and precise tracing of utilities.
To facilitate the easy reading of data, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver features a high-contrast display ensuring information is clearly visible even in bright sunlight. Additionally, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver features an automatic backlight ensuring that visibility is maintained even in shaded or dark areas. For a brief introduction to using the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver, please see the following video.
Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter modes:
- Induction: automatically radiates a signal using an internal antenna, enabling the user to trace cables that cannot be accessed or connected to a test lead or clamp
- Direct Test Lead Connection: the most reliable way to trace individual cables and pipes
- Clamp: for use with the Beha-Amprobe SC-600-EUR Signal Clamp (NOT included), this mode allows the user to apply a locate signal to the cable via the clamp and is ideal for when electrical contact to the cable is not accessible or safe
The Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter is intuitive and will automatically engage the most effective mode based on the connected accessory. It also includes selectable 8/33 kHz frequencies.
The rugged, durable, IP54-rated Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver and Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter are resistant to water and dust ingress and have been drop-tested from 1m (3.28ft). They are also CAT IV 600V safety-rated, enabling the transmitter to be connected directly to an energised line up to 600V in a CAT IV environment. This means that these electrical lines do not need to be de-energised prior to tracing, thereby increasing efficiency and productivity.
The Beha-Amprobe UAT-610-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit is a safety-optimised, precise and effective cable and electrical line avoidance kit. It is ideal for commercial and residential construction contractors, water, gas and electrical installation and repair crews, pipe laying companies, TV and telecommunication companies, and electricians and general contractors.
