The Beha-Amprobe UAT-620-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit can be used to pinpoint the location of underground utilities such as pipes, sewer lines and energised and de-energised cables. To this end, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-620-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit consists of the following Beha-Amprobe products:

UAT-600-EUR - Overview (incl subtitles PL, SV, FI, NO, DE, EN, ES, IT, FR)

The Beha-Amprobe UAT-620-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit is a versatile, precise and safety-optimised avoidance kit ideal for preventing accidental hits that could result in costly repairs, delays and potentially hazardous situations. This kit provides a solution to the following:

  • Locating energised 50/60Hz cables carrying current
  • Locating metallic utilities: pipes, and energised and de-energised cables
  • Tracing individual pipes and cables (energised and de-energised)
  • Tracing non-metallic pipes, sewer lines and conduits (metal fish tape or cable is required)

This kit can trace utilities that are buried up to 30m below the ground; when used by a team of two individuals, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-620-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit is suitable for advanced location applications. It is also capable of accurately measuring depth (up to 6m), current, output current, voltage and resistance, and can be used with an OPTIONAL Beha-Amprobe AF-600-EUR A-Frame to detect ground faults. UAT-600-EUR - A-FRAME (incl subtitles PL, SV, FI, NO, DE, EN, ES, IT, FR)

Both the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver and Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter are equipped with a range of tracing modes designed to expand their scope-for-use as well as the speed, simplicity and precision of locating utilities. The video below provides an overview of these modes. 

UAT-600-EUR - LOCATOR MODES (incl. subtitles PL, SV, FI, NO, DE, EN, ES, IT, FR)

The Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver's passive modes do not require a Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter to function:

  • Passive Power (50/60Hz): trace energised lines conducting current
  • Passive Radio (RF): utilises surrounding radio waves to trace underground utilities

Additionally, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver includes a semi-automatic gain control which is capable of detecting the tracing signal quickly. It also allows the user to adjust the sensitivity of the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver to facilitate quick and accurate pinpointing of utilities.

The Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver also includes practical features such as a high-contrast display with an automatic backlight; this ensures that the screen is always easy to read despite bright sunlight or dark/ dim conditions. For a brief introduction to using the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver, please see the following video. 

UAT-600-EUR - MASTERING THE RECEIVER (Incl substitles PL, SV, FI, NO, DE, EN, ES, IT, FR)

The Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter is equipped with the following modes:

  • Induction: automatically radiates a signal using an internal antenna, enabling the user to trace cables that cannot be accessed or connected to a test lead or clamp
  • Direct Test Lead Connection: the most reliable way to trace individual cables and pipes
  • Clamp: for use with the included Beha-Amprobe SC-600-EUR Signal Clamp; this mode allows the user to apply a locate signal to the cable via the clamp and is ideal for when electrical contact with the cable is not accessible or safe; the Beha-Amprobe SC-600-EUR Signal Clamp only works on low-impedance, closed circuits

Based upon the connected accessories, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter is able to select the most effective mode automatically. The Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter also features selectable 8 kHz and 33 kHz frequencies.

The Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter, Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-RE Receiver and Beha-Amprobe SC-600-EUR Signal Clamp have all been drop-tested from 1m and are resistant to both dust and water ingress. Moreover, these rugged, durable and IP54-rated instruments have a safety rating of CAT IV 600V. As a result, the Beha-Amprobe UAT-600-TE Transmitter can be connected directly to 600V electrical lines in CAT IV environments; this removes the need for de-energisation saving time and increasing productivity without compromising the user’s safety.

The Beha-Amprobe UAT-620-EUR Underground Utility Locator Kit is a comprehensive, accurate and effective cable and pipe avoidance kit. It is ideal for commercial and residential construction contractors, water, gas and electrical installation and repair crews, pipe laying companies, TV and telecommunication companies, and electricians and general contractors.
