The Comark FPP IR Food Safety Thermometer with Timer and Penetration Probe can be can be used to take temperature measurements using both infrared technology and a penetration probe. It has an infrared temperature range of -35°C to +275°C / -30°F to +525°F and a probe temperature range of -40°C to +150°C / -40°F to +302°F.
Temperatures can be displayed in either °C or °F. Moreover, this instrument features green and red LED lights for indicating whether the measured temperature is within or without the HACCP temperature guidelines. Green indicates that the temperature is within the guidelines and is therefore safe; red indicates that the temperature is outside the guidelines and is therefore in the danger zone. The Comark FPP IR Food Safety Thermometer’s HACCP danger zone is set at +4°C to +60°C/ +40°F to +140°F and its emissivity is pre-configured for food applications.
When conducting infrared temperature measurements, the Comark FPP IR Food Safety Thermometer will utilise its integrated LED light to illuminate the measurement spot. This makes it easier for the user to identify the measurement spot and enables him/her to verify the temperature reading more precisely using the penetration probe.
Further to this, its infrared measurement capabilities mean the Comark FPP IR Food Safety Thermometer can be used to measure temperatures without the risk of cross-contamination via scanning; this makes it particularly well suited to food and HACCP applications. Also adding to this thermometer’s suitability for food and HACCP applications is its integrated timer which may be set to alert the user as to when line checks are due.
Finally, in terms of its physical design and practicality, the Comark FPP IR Food Safety Thermometer is optimised for longevity and to this end features a hand-washable, sealed, IP54 casing. It is also supplied with a two-year warranty from Comark and includes a carrying pouch ensuring that it is easy to transport across and between worksites.
