The Comark RF314DUAL Diligence Wi-Fi Dual Channel Temperature Data Logger can be used with two external thermocouple probes to measures and record the temperature of the immediate environment in which the two probes are situated.

 The Comark RF314DUAL Diligence Wi-Fi Dual Channel Temperature Data Logger is capable of measuring temperatures between -270°C and +1300°C /-454°F and +2372°F to an accuracy of ±1.5°C when used with the supplied type-K probes. It can display temperatures above 1000°C and below -100°C to a resolution of 0.1°C.

The type-K probes supplied with this data logger are connected to the unit via an industry standard miniature thermocouple connector. This connector can also be used to connect other probes to the Comark RF314DUAL Diligence Wi-Fi Dual Channel Temperature Data Logger, such as type-N, type-J and type-T probes, as well as alternative type-K probes.

During configuration, the user is able to adjust the sample rate, transmission period and measurement units (°C or °F) to suit his/her requirements. He/she may also set high and low alarms for each channel and can assign names to both channels and the data logger. Once configured, the Comark RF314DUAL Diligence Wi-Fi Dual Channel Temperature Data Logger’s settings can be altered remotely without needing to reconnect the instrument to the user’s PC.  

 Furthermore, when used with Comark’s free PC Software (not included), the user is able to select the location to which logged and transmitted data is saved. For instance, data may be saved locally to the user’s PC from which point it can be privately accessed, or it can be saved to the Comark Cloud, from where it may be universally accessed. Whether data is saved to the user’s PC or the Comark Cloud it may be analysed; used to create graphs, and exported in various formats. The user is also able to view and export historical data.

During configuration, the Comark RF314DUAL Data Logger will establish a connection with a Wi-Fi network. Once a network connection has been established the user can place the data logger anywhere within the range of the Wi-Fi network. The data logger will then stream measurements at the specified intervals to the desired location. However, should this instrument lose connectivity with the network, it will continue to log readings until a connection is re-established (maximum of 30 days with a 10-second sample interval). If so desired the Wi-Fi range of the Comark RF314DUAL Diligence Wi-Fi Dual Channel Temperature Data Logger can be extended with the addition of Wi-Fi extenders.

Data is also viewable via the Comark RF314DUAL Diligence Wi-Fi Dual Channel Temperature Data Logger’s large, two-line, surround, LCD display. Via this display the user can view the minimum and maximum temperature readings; battery life, indicated via a segment battery indicator; the strength of the Wi-Fi connection, and whether any of the channel alarms have been triggered.

In terms of this instrument’s practicality, the design of this unit means that it is suitable for use in a variety of locations including hot and cold storage areas and manufacturing plants. It has an IP rating of 43 (probes have an IP rating of 67) and can be configured to remain functional for prolonged periods of time. For instance, this data logger can be adjusted to ensure that its rechargeable battery is able to provide the Comark RF314DUAL Diligence Data Logger with power for up to six months. This tester’s battery can be recharged using a +5V wall adapter or via a USB port and USB cable.

Finally, the Comark RF314DUAL Diligence Wi-Fi Dual Channel Temperature Data Logger is compliant with the IEEE 802.11 b/g/n standard and supports WEP, WPA/WPA2 encryption and enterprise networks.
