Extech VIR50 Dual Laser IR Video Thermometer
When precise, targeted temperature measurements are needed without the need to make contact with a surface, the Extech VIR50 allows users to carry out measurements with pinpoint precision by the use of the tester's built in dual-laser technology.
When in use the tester will shine two bright lasers at a point near to the tester, converging into a 1" target spot where temperature will be evaluated. As a thermometer this tester is able to measure IR temperature from -58 to 3922°F (-50 to 2200°C), making it suitable for measuring supercool, superheat and everything in between. The VIR50 is also capable of measuring temperature via a type k thermocouple (from -58 to 2498°F) and can provides measurements of the overall air temperature and relative humidity as well.
In addition to temperature measurements the Extech VIR50 is also equipped with a full 640 x 480 resolution video camera. This allows users to either capture JPEG images or 3GP video on the thermometer, complete with accurate temperature measurement displayed on the capture image(s). Via the use of the meter's included microSD card this data can also be downloaded to PC and viewed on a large screen (this is also downloadable via USB connection).
