The FLIR Duo™ Pro R640 Radiometric Thermal & Visible-light Cameras – 9Hz are available in three models that vary in regards to their lens sizes and, subsequently, their fields-of-view; please see the table below for further details.

The FLIR Duo™ Pro R640 Radiometric Thermal & Visible-light Cameras can be used with drones and sUAS to create an industrial, airborne tool suitable for a variety of inspection and public safety applications.
All of the above models are radiometric, dual-sensor, 9Hz cameras. They are equipped with both a high-definition, 4K colour video camera and a thermal sensor with a resolution of 640x512 pixels. As these instruments are radiometric, they will record temperature information for each thermal image pixel.
The FLIR Duo™ Pro R640 Radiometric Thermal & Visible-light Cameras’ dual sensor capabilities allow the user to view and record thermal and visible-light images. Visible and thermal data can be captured simultaneously during a single flight. Further to this, the FLIR Duo™ Pro R640 Radiometric Thermal & Visible-light Cameras are equipped with an MSX blending mode that combines the digital detail captured using the visible-light camera with the thermal data captured using the thermal sensor, thereby creating thermal pictures of greater clarity. In addition to the MSX, Thermal and Visible modes, the FLIR Duo™ Pro R640 Radiometric Thermal & Visible-light Cameras feature a PIP (Picture-in-Picture) mode. Using PWM inputs, the operator is able to change between these imaging modes. PWM inputs can also be used to switch between imagery colour palettes, begin and end recording, and commence and finish video streaming: live analogue or digital (micro-HDMI) video output is possible using the FLIR Duo™ Pro R640 Radiometric Thermal & Visible-light Cameras.
Additionally, the cameras’ recording and control settings can be configured via Bluetooth using the FLIR UAS App.
In addition to capturing visible and thermal data, these instruments also include onboard GPS receivers, IMUs and temperature, humidity and altitude sensors allowing images to be saved with comprehensive metadata including GPS and altitude as well as temperature information. These additional components also ensure that images can be geo-tagged.
Geo-tagging images prevents latency and data loss and reduces the complexity usually involved with integrating cameras into external flight control systems. This, combined with the comprehensive metadata saved with each image, makes the FLIR Duo™ Pro R640 Radiometric Thermal & Visible-light Cameras suitable for creating accurate maps and 3D models.
These cameras are capable of integrating into MAVLink-compatible flight controllers and can be used with drones and sUAS as an airborne mapping system.
Finally, the FLIR Duo™ Pro R640 Radiometric Thermal & Visible-light Cameras support field-upgradeability ensuring that they are able to accommodate new features and thereby keep up with the demands of the industry.
