The FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz) is a useful predictive maintenance tool and troubleshooting instrument. It is also an effective, ergonomic and easy-to-use alternative to IR thermometers.
Thermal Technology
As an upgraded version of FLIR’s E6 Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi, the FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera features an extended temperature range, -20°C to +550°C, and an improved IR resolution, 240 x 180-pixels.
Like its predecessor, the FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera also features an adjustable emissivity (0.1 to 1.0) with a table of predefined materials, allowing the user to tailor the IR imager to the application. Similarly, it is fully automated, focus-free and features a selection of thermal palettes and thermal imaging modes. The user can view infrared images in black and white, iron or rainbow; he/she may also engage the following imaging modes as necessary:
- Thermal Blending
- Thermal
- Digital Camera: view images captured by the integrated 640 x 480-pixel digital camera
- MSX®: overlay digital images onto thermal pictures to enhance image details
- Picture-in-Picture: view a particular point-of-interest on the image in greater detail without losing the overall field-of-view (45° x 34°)
Ergonomic Design
It is easy to navigate the FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera’s imaging modes, features, functions and settings using the intuitive interface and simple keypad. The user is able to view menus, in addition to captured infrared and visible light images, via the 320 x 240-pixel, colour, LCD display.
The FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera is intended for long periods of use in rugged environments. To this end, it features a lightweight, pistol-shaped, robust design that has been drop tested from 2m.
Wi-Fi Connectivity
The FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera also features Wi-Fi Connectivity allowing the user to transfer images to a smartphone or tablet with the FLIR Tools App installed. Once downloaded images can be edited and analysed as well as incorporated into reports that may be emailed to clients or colleagues from the user’s smartphone or tablet; this enables collaborative decisions to be made without the thermographer having to leave the field.
Additionally, it is possible to download images to a PC via a USB interface. To ensure that images can be easily transferred they are recorded to the FLIE E6-XT as JPEGs with embedded temperature data.
The FLIR E6-XT Thermal Imaging Camera with Wi-Fi (9Hz) is ideal for detecting signs of failure before significant damage is sustained and for identifying faulty components. It is ideal for electricians, construction engineers and maintenance technicians.
