The Teledyne FLIR Hadron RGB/ Thermal Module is a visible-light and infrared imaging camera optimised for simplicity and performance. It is designed to be used with sUAS such as drones.
The Teledyne FLIR Hadron RGB/ Thermal Module is the camera used aboard the United States Army’s Teal Drones Golden Eagle which was originally developed to locate individuals in low-visibility conditions.
Please see the video below for an introduction to the Teledyne FLIR Hadron RGB/ Thermal Module.
Thermal & Visible-Light Imaging
The Teledyne FLIR Hadron RGB/ Thermal Module is equipped with a 12MP RGB optical camera, capable of providing HD colour images, and a Boson thermal camera with a shutter and an IR resolution of 320x256px. Users can view HD visible-light images or thermal images while the Teledyne FLIR Hadron RGB/ Thermal Module is in flight, making it easier to find persons in low-light/ dark conditions or to conduct inspections. This thermal- and optical-imaging module also features a high-resolution output specifically designed for smaller class airframes. Furthermore, the Teledyne FLIR Hadron's integrated Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) captures data regarding its movements.
Compact
To maintain a longer air time and to maximise the unit’s battery life, the Teledyne FLIR Hadron RGB/ Thermal Module is size, weight, power and cost (SWaP+C) optimised. Furthermore, its low-profile design facilitates flexible positioning on the airframe/ drone.
The Teledyne LIR Hadron RGB/ Thermal Module is ready to use out of the box. This ergonomic, simple, and high-performance visible-light and infrared imager can be used to reduce engineering and exploratory costs.
