The FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Camera is specifically designed for utility, electro-mechanical, manufacturing, and building diagnostics professionals carrying out predictive/ preventative maintenance applications.

Each of the FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras is supplied with FLIR’s Thermal Studio Software. However, these seven models vary in regards to their lenses; please see the table below for further information.

The FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras are also compatible with an OPTIONAL 6° telephoto lens for viewing small targets over long distances.

Thermal Imaging

The FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras can be used to identify failing or faulty components in all lighting conditions. To this end, each of the aforementioned models has an IR resolution of 640 x 480px (307 200 pixels) and is able to measure temperatures between -20°C and 2000°C to an accuracy of ±2°C. These IR cameras are also equipped with a selection of thermal imaging functions including:

  • MSX®: combines thermal and visual images (captured using the integrated 5MP digital camera) to produce a detailed picture allowing the user to identify issues quickly and easily
  • UltraMax®: increases the number of pixels in the thermal image to 1 228 800 by taking a series of thermal images and combining the data
  • Proprietary Adaptive Filtering: reduces noise to produce a high-quality image
  • Digital zoom: 1-8x
  • Picture-in-Picture mode: magnify a specific area of the image without losing the overall FOV

Additionally, the FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras include selectable colour palettes (iron, grey, rainbow, arctic, lava, rainbow HC) and measurement and analysis tools such as spotmeters, hot spots, cold spots, and on-screen area calculations.

The FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras’ 1-touch level span and laser-assisted autofocus ensure that thermal images are sharp and contain accurate temperature measurements.

Ergonomic Design

Also working to improve the precision and practicality of the FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras is their integrated eye-piece viewfinder and 180° rotating optical block which allow the user to inspect systems from any angle.

Images are viewable via the FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras’ vibrant 4” colour LCD display.

Intelligent User Interface and Software

The FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras are designed to enable fast and logical acquisition of temperature data, thermal images and visual images, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of preventative/ predictive maintenance procedures. It is possible to create and upload customised inspection routes to the FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Cameras using the OPTIONAL Inspection Routing module. Using this module, the thermographer can plan surveys and organise images and data according to location.

Captured images can be organised into customisable work folders and can be saved with text and/or voice-annotations. Organised files of thermal media saved to the FLIR T860 High-Performance Thermal Imaging Camera can be transferred to the included FLIR Thermal Studio Software for quick report generation and automated data management. Alternatively, thermal media may be synced to the FLIR Tools® App via Wi-Fi.
