The Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer is supplied with two sensors of the same type. There are two sensor types available, standard- or high-accuracy and as a result, there are two Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer models and subsequently two vlaue kits with USB interfaces available. These sensors may be connected to the Fluke 120A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer's inputs via extension cables facilitating the tester’s ability to measure the temperature and relative humidity of two locations up to 100 feet away from the unit. These measurements can be conducted simultaneously via both channels.
Measurements from both inputs can be viewed simultaneously via the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer’s large, backlit display and may be indicated graphically, statistically, or in both formats. It is possible to create, save and access up to sixteen display formats via a single function button, allowing the user to tailor the thermo-hygrometer to the application.
In addition to conducting and indicating measurements, this instrument also includes a number of maths and statistical functions such as:
Furthermore, the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer will automatically record the daily summary statistics (min, max and maximum rates of change) for the most recent sixty days. These measurements are saved to the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer’s extensive onboard memory, which has the capacity to save up to 400 000 date- and time-stamped readings.
Data can be sent to print using the RS-232 interface. This interface can also be used to connect the tester with other Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometers. Alternatively, the included Fluke 2633-RF Wireless Option and 2633-USB Wireless Modem can be used together to facilitate a connection between the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer and the user’s PC. Once connected to the user’s PC, the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer can be used with the included Fluke 9936A LogWare III Single-PC Licence Software to log and store data in real-time (please see below).
In order to improve the management and traceability of data, each sensor can be saved using a unique, sixteen-character identifier. This allows the user to save measurements in reference to the sensor used to acquire them and also allows the operator to use sensors interchangeably, as does their embedded memory chips containing relevant calibration constants.
This memory chip also removes the need for additional instruments when performing sensor recalibration. Each sensor is data- and NIST-traceable and is supplied with an NVLAP accredited certificate of calibration.
In addition to the sensors and accessories supplied with this unit, the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer includes a backup battery which can maintain measurements for up to sixteen hours after a power failure. This adds to the practicality and reliability of this instrument.
The Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer has been optimised for adaptability as well as practicality, reliability and versatility. To this end it includes an alarm function which facilitates the user’s ability to set alarms for the following entities:
The user is also able to configure the instrument to issue a visible (flashing display), audible (beeping) or a 0-12V (triggers a process control system) alarm when upper or lower limits are breached.
The Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer is an adaptable, practical and versatile instrument ideal for those conducting temperature and relative humidity measurements across multiple locations.
Like the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer, the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Single-PC Licence Software has been optimised for adaptability, versatility and practicality. It has been designed to log temperature and relative humidity measurements taken by the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer in real-time.
This software acquires information from the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer via Ethernet, RS-232 or wireless connections. Alternatively, in the event of a power failure, data can be uploaded from the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer to the software.
As indicated above the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software can be used to monitor and log an unlimited number of concurrent log sessions. This information is saved to a single database. It is able to log temperature and relative humidity measurements from one or both of the Fluke 1620A’s channels, allowing the user to tailor the program to the application.
The Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software also allows the user to configure the program to send updates regarding the condition and/or activity of the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer to authorised persons via email. This software is able to send email updates regarding:
In addition to this, the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software includes password security allowing the user to restrict and/or grant access to saved data to particular persons. Other security features present on the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software include an integrated administer account, pre-defined user groups and customisable permissions. These features allow the user to protect the integrity of collected data.
Logged data can be exported to HTML, RTF or ASCII text. It may be organised into customised graphs. The Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software includes a zooming feature allowing the user to focus on particular data points which may be highlighted and annotated. This software also includes a number of statistics functions for comprehensive data analysis. Statistical functions include:

The Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software can also be used to view historical data which may be displayed and/or organised according to sensor location (model/ serial number) and/or log session. Historical data is displayed in a grid-style spreadsheet, and can also be sent to print.
When viewing data as a graph the trace colour may be altered. This software also facilitates the user’s ability to change alarms and/or statistical analysis as required. He/she may also use the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software to configure and/or operate the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer remotely; for instance, the log sessions can be started and stopped and sample rates may be altered.
In addition to this, the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software supports ‘hot-swapping’, a feature that does not require the user to terminate a log session when swapping the Fluke 1620A-X-256’s sensors.
