Description

Fluke P3022-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester – Without Pump Details

The Fluke P3022-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester – Without Pump is able to generate pressures and vacuums in order to calibrate vacuum and/or pressure sensing instruments. It is available in three models which vary in regards to their ranges and measurement units. For further information, please see the table below.

Product Code Product Name  Pressure Range Vacuum Range
P3022-KPA Fluke P3022-KPA Gas Dual Deadweight Tester Vac/Pressure to100 kPa - Without Pump 1.5 to 100 kPa 3 to 100 kPa
P3022-MBAR Fluke P3022-MBAR Gas Dual Deadweight Tester, Vac/Pressure to 1000 mbar - Without Pump 15 to 1000 mbar 30 to 1000 mbar
P3022-INH2O Fluke P3022-INH20 Gas Dual Deadweight Tester, Vac/Pressure to 400 inH2O - Without Pump 5 to 400 inH2O 1 to 30 in Hg

The Fluke P3022-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester can be used to calibrate pressure sensing instruments such as transducers, transmitters, gauges and pressure switches, including those designed to measure pressure ranges below atmospheric pressure.

Unlike its sister product, the Fluke P3022-XXX-P Gas Dual Deadweight Tester – With Pump, this product does not feature an integrated hand pump. In order to create pressure the user may attach an external gas source to its /NPT female port; alternatively, he/she may connect an external vacuum pump to this port in order to generate a vacuum. The high-quality needle allows the user to make fine adjustments to the pressure or vacuum created.

When measuring pressure via the creation of pneumatic pressure, the piston and cylinder assembly with a floatation indicator will rise. To counteract this upward force accurately calibrated weights are placed on the piston. In order to determine the final pressure value, the nominal pressure values inscribed on the weight masses are added together; for further information regarding this method, please see the video below.

In addition to the inscribed nominal pressure values (relative to the high- or low-pressure piston), these weight masses are also inscribed with the instrument’s serial number. They are constructed from non-magnetic, austenitic, stainless steel and may be stored in the weight box with a secure locking mechanism, ensuring that they can be safely and securely transported between worksites.

Practicality and ease-of-use are at the forefront of this instrument's design. As such it is supplied with a removable lid for easy transportation, and features adjustable feet and a mounted spirit level, ensuring that it can be easily set-up in a variety of environments without compromising its accuracy. In addition to this, it features a test station design with O-rings and is supplied with 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 NPT and BSP adapters, and M20 and M14 metric adapters. These features remove the need for PTFE tape and/or wrenches when attaching additional instruments. Further to this, the Fluke P3022-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester is supplied with spare seals and an ISO 17025 accredited calibration certificate.

This instrument has been optimised to be as accurate as possible and to this end features a piston and cylinder assembly constructed to the highest standards and therefore featuring certified accuracies traceable to international standard laboratories, such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). The piston and cylinder assembly works to maintain stability and durability while lowering distortion and thermal coefficients.

Moreover, the Fluke P3022-XXX Gas Dual Deadweight Tester is calibrated to standard gravity (980.665 cm/s²); however, there is an option to calibrate this instrument to the user’s local gravity thereby improving the accuracy to 0.008% from the standard 0.015%.

The Fluke P3022-XXX Dual Deadweight Tester – Without Pump is a versatile, easy-to-use and accurate calibration instrument, it is ideal for checking an eclectic array of pressure sensing tools with a wide variety of ranges.
