The Fluke P3211-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester can be used to calibrate pressure sensing instruments via the creation of hydraulic pressure and the addition of accurately calibrated weight masses. These instruments use water as the medium to create hydraulic pressure, making them suitable for calibrating almost any pressure sensing instrument, including transducers, transmitters, gauges and pressure switches.

The Fluke P3211-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester includes a high-quality screw press and integrated hand pump designed to facilitate the creation of hydraulic pressure. The built-in hand pump can be used to prime the system prior to the creation of pressure and may be used to accommodate large volume requirements, whilst the high-quality screw press is turned in order to create the hydraulic pressure as well as make fine pressure adjustments.
As hydraulic pressure is created the piston will rise in the cylinder; the addition of accurately calibrated weight masses works to counterbalance this upward force. Each of the weight masses includes nominal pressure values relative to high- or low-pressure pistons inscribed on its series 3, non-magnetic, austenitic stainless steel body. The serial number of the instrument is also marked on each weight mass. In order to determine the final pressure, the appropriate nominal values, marked on the weight masses added to the piston, are combined. Weight masses can be stored in a high-quality case with a self-locking mechanism ensuring that they are kept safe and secure during transit.
As this instrument has been optimised for accuracy, it is also possible to trim weight masses in accordance with the user’s local gravity as well as calibrate the Fluke P3211-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester with regard to the user’s local gravity. These alterations work to improve the tester’s standard accuracy from 0.015% to 0.008%. PLEASE NOTE that unless specified, the Fluke P3211-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester will be calibrated to standard gravity (980.665cm/s²).
Furthermore, this unit is supplied with a traceable certificate of accuracy and includes a piston and cylinder assembly with certified accuracies traceable to international standards laboratories, such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). It has been manufactured in accordance with the highest standards and is designed to provide stability, durability and low thermal coefficients and distortion.
Finally, the Fluke P3211-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester has been designed to facilitate quick and easy assembly in a variety of environments and to this end includes a detachable lid for easy transportation. As well as this, the Fluke P3211-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester includes adjustable feet and a mounted spirit level and a test-station design with O-rings. This design combined with the inclusion of 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch NPT or BSP female adaptors removes the need for PTFE tape and/or wrenches when attaching additional instruments.
