The Fluke P3213-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester – Single Range is a robust, accurate, easy-to-use instrument optimised for calibrating pressure sensing instruments such as transducers, transmitters, gauges and pressure switches. It is available in four models with varying pressure ranges; please see the table below for further details.

Product Code Product Name  Pressure Range
P3213-BAR Fluke P3213-BAR Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester - 350 bar 10 to 350 bar
P3213-KGCM2 Fluke P3213-KGCM2 Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester - 350 kgf/cm2 10 to 350 kgf/cm2
P3213-PSI Fluke P3213-PSI Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester - 5000 psi 100 to 5000 psi
P3213-MPA Fluke P3213-MPA Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester - 35 MPa 1 to 35 MPa

This instrument uses water as the medium to create hydraulic pressure, making it suitable for calibrating almost all pressure sensing modules. The user is able to view the quality and level of water via the clear, acrylic reservoir; remaining fluid can be easily drained via the integrated drain-plug.

Prior to creating hydraulic pressure, the integrated hand pump may be used to prime the system, this pump can also be used to accommodate large volume requirements. Further to this, the high-quality screw press may be used to create and make fine adjustments to hydraulic pressure.

The creation of hydraulic pressure causes the piston to rise in its cylinder. By adding accurately calibrated weight masses the upward force is balanced. Each weight mass is marked with nominal pressure values relative to high- and low-pressure pistons. Therefore in order to determine the final pressure, the appropriate nominal values, marked on each weight mass added to the piston, are combined. Please see the video below for more detail regarding this method, as well as an overview of these deadweight testers.

Each weight mass is also marked with the instrument’s serial number and can be stored in a durable weight box with a self-locking mechanism to ensure they are kept safe and secure during transit.

Further to this, the weight masses are constructed from series 3, non-magnetic, austenitic, stainless steel, ensuring that they are not affected by the earth’s magnetic field. Moreover, IF SPECIFIED, these weight masses can be trimmed to account for the user’s local gravity; in addition to this, the Fluke P3213-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester can be calibrated in accordance with the user’s local gravity. These OPTIONS work to improve the standard accuracy of the deadweight tester from 0.015% to 0.008% by accounting for the effect of the localised gravitational pull on the weight masses. PLEASE NOTE that unless otherwise specified the Fluke P3213-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester will be calibrated to standard gravity (980.665cm/s²).

The Fluke P3213-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester is also supplied with a traceable certificate of accuracy and includes a piston and cylinder assembly that has been constructed to the highest standards and therefore includes accuracies traceable to international standards laboratories, such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). The design of the piston and cylinder assembly with floatation indicator provides the tester with stability and durability, as well as low thermal coefficients and distortion.

This instrument is also supplied with spare seals; 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch NPT or BSP female adaptors, and a detachable lid, all optimised to improve the ease with which the Fluke P3213-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester can be used. The detachable lid means that the tester can be easily transported, whilst the adapters, along with the Fluke P3213-XXX’s test-station design with O-rings, remove the need for PTFE tape and/or wrenches when attaching additional instruments. The inclusion of adjustable feet and a mounted spirit level also adds to the ease with which the Fluke P3213-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester may be assembled.

The Fluke P3213-XXX Water Hydraulic Deadweight Tester – Single Range is optimised for versatility, accuracy and convenience. It is ideal for calibrating an eclectic array of pressure sensing instruments.
