Hikvision DS-2TD1217B Low-Res Body Temp Thermal Cameras – Pro Solutions Kit

The Hikvision DS-2TD1217B Turret Low-Res Body Temp Thermal Camera Pro Solutions Kits are all-in-one, high-accuracy skin-temperature screening solutions designed to be used with a laptop or PC. These kits consist of a thermal imaging camera, black body, tripod, tripod adapter, 4-port PoE switch, PoE cable, 21.5” monitor, 8-channel NVR-1TB and FREE Hikvision iVMS-4200 Software. The black body improves the measurement precision of the thermal camera (±0.3°C) while the 21.5” monitor enables employees or visitors to view the screening process offering much greater peace of mind. The 8-channel NVR -1TB enables recording, allowing footage to be played back and analysed at a later date if needed.

You will need a laptop or PC to use these kits and to download the FREE Hikvision iVMS-4200 Software. To install the Hikvision DS-2TD1217B Bullet Low-Res Body Temp Thermal Camera Pro Solutions Kit, please follow these steps:

1. Mount the Hikvision DS-2TD1217B Turret Thermal Camera onto the included tripod using the tripod adapter OR mount the turret thermal camera onto a ceiling
2. Connect the PoE cable to the 4-port PoE switch
3. Configure the camera, PoE switch and NVR (which enables recording allowing footage to be played back and analysed at any time) to your laptop’s/ PC’s IP address
4. Download the FREE Hikvision iVMS-4200 Client Software
5. Configure the settings detailed in the ‘How to Configure Thermal Cameras with a Black Body’ guide (please download this document from the ‘Downloads’ tab above)
6. Connect the monitor to the video out cable to view real-time thermal footage on the screen
7. Begin temperature screening

When used with the included Hikvision DS-2TE127-G4A Black Body, the supplied Hikvision DS-2TD1217B Low-Res Body Temp Turret Thermal Camera can measure temperatures between 30°C and 45°C to an accuracy of ±0.3°C. High-accuracy, non-contact, real-time temperature measurements combined with thermal imaging makes the Hikvision DS-2TD1217B Low-Res Body Temp Turret Thermal Cameras ideal for identifying individuals with elevated skin temperature in busy public places. These cameras have an IR resolution of 160 x 120px, providing 19200 temperature measurement points.

The Hikvision DS-2TD1217B Low-Res Body Temp Turret Thermal Cameras are designed to be tripod or ceiling-mounted. There are two versions of this camera available, which differ in regards to their lens sizes and fields-of-view (FOV); please see the table below for further details.

Elevated skin temperature is often indicative of a fever, a common symptom of illnesses such as the COVID-19 coronavirus. The Hikvision DS-2TD1217B Low-Res Body Temp Turret Thermal Camera Pro Solutions Kits are not diagnostic tools, however, they can be used alongside virus-specific medical tests to identify virus-carriers and thereby help to prevent further infection.
