Hikmicro’s OWL OQ35 Handheld Thermal Monocular is a portable, durable (IP67) thermal imager designed to improve visibility in the dark and outside. It is suitable for hiking, travelling, hunting, search and rescue, patrolling/ security, and law enforcement applications.

This model, the Hikmicro OWL OQ35 Handheld Thermal Monocular, features a high-sensitivity infrared detector, with a 640 x 512px resolution, capable of providing clear images even in total darkness. It also includes a 35mm lens and has a 17.7° x 14.2° field-of-view.

The Hikmicro OWL OQ35 Handheld Thermal Monocular has a thermal sensitivity of less than 35mk (at 25°C) and is fitted with a 1024 x 768px, 0.39-inch OLED display which provides low power consumption, a wide viewing angle, and vivid colour.

This thermal imaging monocular also includes selectable colour palettes (White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot and Fusion) and digital zoom. Additionally, the Hikmicro OWL OQ35 Handheld Thermal Monocular supports the following observation functions/ modes:

  • Highest Temperature Target Tracking: tracks a ‘hotspot’, for instance, an animal or person, making it easier for the user to monitor targets
  • Distance Measurement
  • Wi-Fi Hot Spot: use the Hik-Thermal App to view footage captured by the monocular in real-time on a secondary device; the user can also operate the monocular’s digital zoom and video recording functions via the app
  • Sleep mode: temporarily switches off observation to prevent light leakage and to preserve the battery life
  • Record Video
  • Capture Snapshot

Images and footage captured using the Record Video and Capture Snapshot functions can be saved to the Hikmicro OWL OQ35 Handheld Thermal Monocular's integrated 16GB memory.

Finally, the Hikmicro OWL OQ35 Handheld Thermal Monocular includes a type-C interface and a built-in rechargeable lithium battery capable of providing up to 5.5 hours of continuous power.
