No more relying on stringing lines, your hands and measurement tools - the Leica Lino L2 projects precise laser lines over an area, allowing you to easily make sure that whatever you're doing is perfectly aligned.
Part of Leica's popular Lino family of laser meters, the L2 is designed specifically for horizontal levelling, vertical alignment, vertical and horizontal alignment and carrying out alignments at a specific angle. It projects a bright red laser beam over the area you're using, eliminating the need to pencil on your own lines as you concentrate on the job.
Straight Lines With Ease
Supplied as standard with its own mounting bracket, its easy to position the Lino L2 at the position you need. The instrument is designed to be self-levelling, effectively projecting straight horizontal and vertical lines at various angles. The meter also automatically compensates when it detects being set out-of-level within a range of ±4°. If the tilt exceeds these limits the generation of lasers is stopped, ensuring you don't make inaccurate measurements.
Depending upon lighting conditions the L2 has range of 15m with levelling accuracy of ±1.5mm. The lasers are generated at an exact 90° through a large glass lens, ensuring you get the visible laser beam that's needed when making precise measurements.
By using a laser detector (sold separately) it's possible to effectively expand the range of the L2 to more than 30m. This works by the L2 emitting a pulse that allows the location of laser lines using these detectors, with a series of acoustic signals from the detector alerting the user to the presence of the invisible laser (particularly useful when working in poor lighting conditions).
Here's just a few examples of how you can use the Leica Lino L2:
Spirit levels and string lines are a thing of the past; the Lino L2 is the convenient way to transfer reference points from one wall to another.
Here the large glass lens shows what it's made of: the simple way to ensure that wall and floor tile joints precisely meet one another.
Exact 90° Angle
Alignment tasks such as marking out 90° angles done at the touch of a button.
Manually switch off the self-levelling function via the lock button to allow the L2 to project a laser at any angle.
Use in Bright Conditions
The pulse function is not just an energy saving mode; it also allows you to locate the laser lines using a laser detector, even in very bright lighting conditions. A series of acoustic signals from the detector indicates the precise position of the laser beam plane.
