Martindale's PD430 is part of their proving unit range and is designed to evaluate the status of voltage indicators, an essential task that ensures the safety of the indicator and the person using it.
The PD430 is a 440V AC unit, and it allows users to carry out low 50V checks as well as high 440V checks on proving units. The device is actually suitable for use with most two-pole voltage testers with LED/LCD indication, and is perfect for use with Martindale's VI13700G and VI13700/2 voltage indicators.
It is recommended that the PD430 is used both before and after testing procedures to check the status of the voltage indicator. If anything is incorrect inside the indicator the PD430 is able to prove it, thus ensuring that test results are accurate and safety is maintained.
