The Megger MIT515-TC-UK Insulation Resistance Tester can be used to verify the effectiveness of electrical insulation present on equipment used in industrial and manufacturing processes. It is able to measure insulation resistance up to 10TΩ using a maximum test voltage of 5kV.
This instrument is accurate to ±5% from 1MΩ to 1TΩ and includes five pre-set test voltages and a user-settable lock voltage range, all of which are accessible when the Megger MIT515-TC-UK Insulation Resistance Tester is placed in Insulation Test mode. In addition to this, the Megger MIT515-TC-UK Insulation Resistance Tester includes a voltmeter mode (30V to 660V) and is able to measure the capacitance of the test object using a test voltage in excess of 500V. Furthermore, unlike its sister product, the Megger MIT515-TC-UK Insulation Resistance Tester, this model is supplied with a high-quality transport case which not only provides further protection but also ensures that the tester and additional test leads are kept neatly in a single place. This improves the ease, convenience and efficiency of testing and provides a useful method by which to store the tester and accompanying accessories in a vehicle. The high-quality transport case is able to accommodate the Megger MIT515, two sets of test leads, fused test leads for voltage measurements, and a set of screened test leads.
Also working to improve the efficiency of testing and overall work productivity is the Megger MIT515-TC-UK Insulation Resistance Tester’s rapid charge, IEC 2133-compliant, Li-ion battery. This battery is able to provide the unit with enough power to facilitate up to six hours of continuous testing at 5kV with a load of 100MΩ. Furthermore, if flat, this battery need only be charged for thirty minutes in order to provide sixty minutes of testing. Alternatively, the Megger MIT515-TC-UK Insulation Resistance Tester can be powered using an AC supply.
