Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester Description

The Megger TPT320 Voltage Tester is a two-pole instrument that can be used to test installations for the presence of AC/DC voltages. It has a range of 12 to 690 V AC/DC and will display measurements via both its LED display and LCD display.

In addition to this, the Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester is able to measure continuity between 0 and 500kΩ, again these measurements will be indicated via the Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester’s LCD display. If voltage and/or continuity measurements in excess of either of the Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester’s ranges are detected the instrument will issue an audible alert.

The Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester is also equipped with an array of useful features designed to improve the versatility of this instrument as well as add to the convenience of testing. For instance, the phase rotation indication feature has been simplified in an effort to prevent the accidental crossing of test probes. Furthermore, the Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester has been designed to ensure that it will not trip RCDs, RCBOs and Safety Breakers when conducting tests between phase and earth.

More practically, the Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester features an integrated LED torch which enables testing in poorly lit areas. Additionally, the unit is IP64 rated making it suitable for use in challenging environments and has a safety protection rating of CAT IV 600V. It will also issue an alert when dangerous test voltages have been detected, protecting the safety of the user. This feature remains functional even when the Megger TPT320 Voltage Tester’s batteries have expired.

The ergonomic, easy-to-grip, comfortable design of the Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester makes it suitable for use over prolonged periods of time and adds to its ease of operation. It is supplied with two GS38 shrouds.

Megger MPU690 (1001-561) Proving Unit Description

The Megger MPU690 Proving Unit can be used to verify the accuracy and functionality of the Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester.

It will generate voltages between 50V and 690V in five steps. The Megger MPU690 Proving Unit automatically powers on when the Megger TPT320 Voltage Tester’s probes are inserted into the output terminals.

When initially switched on, the MPU690 will produce 690V at 50Hz designed to simulate an AC supply; it will slowly ramp down through each step until it switches off. Each voltage is indicated by an LED which illuminates when the test has been completed. The Megger MPU690 Proving Unit also includes a power indicator LED which will alert the user to expired batteries.

As a result of the Megger MPU690 Proving Unit’s high output power and the spacing of its output terminals, it can be used to verify the functionality and accuracy of voltage indicators that utilise test lamps.

The extensive battery life of the Megger MPU690 Proving Unit means that it can be used for prolonged periods of time despite its high output power. Also adding to the practicality of this instrument is its rugged casing with a magnetic base.

The Megger MPU690 Proving Unit provides an easy, ergonomic and effective solution to verifying the functionality and accuracy of the Megger TPT320 Two-Pole Voltage Tester.
