The Metrel MD 9910 Thermal Imaging Camera is a compact infrared-imaging camera with an 80x80px thermal resolution, a fast frame rate of 50Hz, and an LED flash. In addition to providing IR images, the Metrel MD 9910 Thermal Imaging Camera can be used to measure temperature and temperature difference making it particularly useful for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment as well as buildings.

The Metrel MD 9910 Thermal Imaging Camera’s short focal length allows the user to scan large areas quickly; it has a 21°x 21° field-of-view. Furthermore, the user can manually set the Metrel MD 9910 Thermal Imaging Camera’s span allowing him/her to take advantage of the IR imager’s thermal resolution.

Infrared images can be viewed in five different thermal palettes. Each thermal image includes a centre temperature marker as well as hot- and cold-spot markers. The MD 991 can measure temperatures between -20°C and +380°C to an accuracy of ±2°C/2%. The user can view temperatures in either °C, °F or K.

Using the Hold Image function, the user can freeze the most recent image on the display. The Metrel MD 9910 Thermal Imaging Camera also includes a Lock and Compare function.

Compatibility with Metrel’s aMIRA App and Bluetooth connectivity means that thermal images can be immediately downloaded to an Android smartphone or tablet. Bluetooth connectivity also allows the user to share images with relevant persons quickly. Alternatively, images can be saved to the Metrel MD 9910 Thermal Imaging Camera’s internal memory.

To ensure the Metrel MD 9910 Thermal Imaging Camera is suitable for use in challenging environments, it has been drop-tested from 2m. Its rechargeable battery means it is also suitable for time-consuming applications as it can power the camera for approximately four to five hours.

This compact, durable and simple infrared imaging camera is ideal for finding damaged contacts on electrical switchboards and distribution boards. The Metrel MD 9910 Thermal Imaging Camera can also be used to find stressed overcurrent or overvoltage protection and unnecessary friction on motor axles.
