The Metrel MI2230F VAFMeter is a portable, compact, handheld multifunction tester capable of measuring numerous electrical parameters of single-, two- and three- phase electrical systems.
It is able to perform the following measurements:
Phase angle measurements are conducted at low currents for accuracy. Additionally, this instrument can be used to measure harmonic distortion and the continuity/ resistance of conductors. To check continuity/resistance the Metrel MI2230F VAFMeter uses a 200mA test current with a polarity change. It will also indicate whether the conductor-under-investigation has passed or failed this test.
Results from voltage, current phase angles, and frequency tests, conducted on two- or three-phase systems, are simultaneously displayed on the Metrel MI2230F VAFMeter’s large, bright LCD screen. It is possible to store these measurements in the Metrel MI2230F VAFMeter’s internal memory (capacity for 1500 readings).
As the Metrel MI2230F VAFMeter is a downloadable tester, saved measurements may be uploaded to a PC via an RS-232 or USB cable (NOT included) and using the supplied Metrel EuroLink Software.
Accessing saved measurements, test functions and navigating the tester’s interface is made simple due to the Metrel MI2230F VAFMeter’s large buttons. This instrument has been designed with practicality and ease-of-use in mind and to this end is supplied with a durable, lightweight carrying case with a handle for ease of transportation.
Moreover, the tester itself features a built-in charging circuit and rechargeable NiMH batteries, ensuring that it is suitable for use in environments lacking an accessible power source.
