The Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Testers are downloadable PAT Testers, available in three models: the Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester - Standard,  the Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester – 25A, and the Metrel MI3360F OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester - Flash Test.

The aforementioned models differ in the following ways:

  • The Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester - Standard can perform earth bond resistance/ continuity tests at ONLY 200mA
  • The Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester – 25A is able to perform continuity/ earth bond resistance tests at 10A and 25A as well as 200mA
  • The Metrel MI3360F OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester Flash Test features all the same testing capabilities as the above MI3360-25A model and also includes flash tests at 1500V and 3000V

All of these testers can also be used with Metrel’s A1283 Current Clamp Adapter (NOT included) to measure leakage currents and may be used with Metrel’s A1422 Active 3-phase Adapter Plus to test welding equipment in accordance with IEC/EN 60974-4.

Each model also features an integrated testing module for checking fuses of all types. Further to this, all variations of Metrel’s MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester include additional test terminals for checking hard-wired devices.

As a result of these instruments’ testing capabilities, the Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester - Standard is ideal for testing portable appliances found in hotels, schools and other public institutions. These appliances tend to fall into class I, class II or class III and often do not require comprehensive testing of continuity. Conversely, the Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester – 25A can be used to test the continuity of appliances more comprehensively. It is particularly well suited to testing appliances found on construction sites and in factories and electrical equipment rental services. Alternatively, the Metrel MI3360F OmegaPAT XA PAT Tester is of particular use to those checking higher voltage appliances and/or appliances that have been recently repaired or sent for maintenance.

Each of these instruments is able to perform pre-defined test sequences optimised for particular appliances via the AUTOSEQUENCE® function. Further to this, Metrel’s MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Testers include built-in filters ensuring that each model has a simple choice of test sequences relevant to its area of application.

Test results can be saved to the Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Testers’ extensive, 8GB, microSD memory cards. Test sequences for specific appliances can also be saved to the microSD cards; these testers' microSD card memories are structured in such a way as to make the recall and re-execution of periodic tests for saved devices quick and easy.

Adding to these instruments' simplicity-of-use are their advanced user-interfaces, which enable the operator to perform pre-defined tests via the AUTOSEQUENCES® function, as mentioned above; their high-resolution, touch-screen, 4.3-inch, TFT displays; and their keyboard. These features allow the user to navigate the interface and enter information via his/her preferred method. In addition to this, the Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Testers all support multiple user accounts. This allows the testers to be used by multiple electricians whilst ensuring that each individual’s test setups are maintained and his/her recorded results are not compromised.

Also adding to the practicality and simplicity-of-use of these PAT testers are their Bluetooth capabilities which facilitate the testers’ compatibility with the aMESM Android SW App, as well as Metrel’s Bluetooth QR Scanners and Printers (NOT included). This app and Metrel’s Bluetooth QR Scanners can be used to read test information contained in QR codes. This information can be used to populate the Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Testers’ set-ups. Once the necessary appliance checks are completed, updated test information can be saved in a QR format and may be printed on a label via Metrel’s Bluetooth QR Label Printers. As a result testing efficiency is improved.

Alternatively, the Metrel MI3360 OmegaPAT XA PAT Testers can be used with the included PC SW Metrel ES Manager BASIC Software to create and upload test structures and AUTOSEQUENCES® to the tester. This software can also be utilised to archive test data and write professional reports.
