Microtronics BlueForce Smart Instrument – Choice of Kit

The Microtronics BlueForce Smart Instrument is a force measuring instrument equipped with Bluetooth and NFC technology and designed to interface with the latest smartphones to share the functions of the internet. It can be used to determine the force of power operated gates and pedestrian doors and has been adopted as a reference instrument by major notified bodies and leading manufacturers of automated gates and doors throughout Europe.

The Microtronics BlueForce Smart Instrument can measure force between 0 and 2000N to a resolution of 1N. The Smart PL Kit includes a Straight Extension allowing you to measure force at 30cm to 50cm from the striking point. Both kits are also compatible with an OPTIONAL Angular Extension enabling measurement from 1.25m away or, in the case of vertically closing gates doors, 2.5m.

Bluetooth connectivity allows the Microtronics BlueForce Smart Instrument to interface with PCs (Windows OS with BlueForce Software) via an OPTIONAL USB-plug receiver as well as the latest smartphones. Moreover, data can be transferred wirelessly via Bluetooth to an OPTIONAL thermal printer for quick report creation. Similarly, NFC technology allows you to read the force test directly on your smartphone. You can see all the measurement points as well as their relationship to current standards on your phone.

Alternatively, you can connect the Microtronics BlueForce Smart Instrument to your PC via a USB port allowing you to download, manage, and analyse test results using Microtronics BlueForce Software. The Microtronics BlueForce Smart Instrument’s firmware can also be updated via the USB port.
