The Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is ideal for professional users; it is light, compact, quick to set up, and combines visible and thermal imaging in order to provide the user with detailed, thermal pictures. The Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is equipped with two imaging sensors:
When the Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is set to Thermal View, these sensors work together to provide blended, detailed and accurate thermal and RGB images. The user is able to view hot spots, cold spots, thermal leaks and temperature differences with visual representations of these phenomena superimposed over the highly precise infrared image.
This drone can also be set to record videos and/or capture images in thermal or visible formats. As mentioned above the Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is able to capture 4K HDR videos in Visible View; it is also capable of shooting 1440x1080-pixel videos in Thermal View.
As mentioned above, the FLIR thermal imaging sensor has a temperature range of -10° to +400°. When set to Low-gain mode, which spans the entire temperature range, the Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone has a measurement accuracy of ±10% max; whereas, when the Parrot Anafi Thermal Drone is set to High-gain mode, which spans the -10°C to +140°C section of the thermal sensor’s range, it has an accuracy of ±5% max.
Furthermore, when in Thermal View, the Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is able to offer a 3x digital zoom, allowing the user to capture minute details from a safe distance; in Visible View the drone has a lossless zoom of x2.8. The wide-angle visible lens allows the user to capture 23-69mm RGB photos and 26-78mm RGB videos in a 35mm equivalent focal length. Visible media can be captured in Adobe DNG/RAW and P-LOG professional formats. Visible imaging capabilities make the Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone suitable for capturing illustrative elements of a building or area, which proves particularly useful during 3D modelling.
The Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone’s 180° camera tilt and 3-axis hybrid stabilisation (consisting of 2-axis mechanical and 3-axis digital stabilisation) allows the user to adjust the position of the cameras by tilting the gimbal vertically by ±90° in order to capture steady, stable images and videos both underneath and above structures. The Zenith View allows the user to see the underneath of buildings and structures above the drone, whereas the Nadir View facilitates the inspection of roofs and other flat surfaces beneath it.
Using Parrot’s FreeFlight6 App (NOT included) the operator can control the drone and perform analysis during flights.
The FreeFlight6 App allows the user to change between RGB (Visible) View and Thermal View during the Parrot Anafi Thermal Drone’s flight, it also facilitates the combining of visual and thermal data to create detailed, clear, precise thermal images. Furthermore, the FreeFlight6 App allows the user to share videos and photos with relevant persons; it can also be used to replay captured video footage.
In addition to this, the FreeFlight6 includes a number of functions and settings that enable the operator to gather the information most relevant to his/her application. As this app is designed to colour the image in order to illustrate where temperature differences and area losses are located, it includes three colour palette settings:
The user is also able to view the temperature of each point within the image, and through altering the settings can isolate elements and/or temperatures for further analysis. This app is also compatible with FLIR’s Tools® Software (NOT included), enabling the creation of PDF reports from captured media. Moreover, the FreeFlight6 App is compatible with Pix4Dcapture (NOT included) facilitating optimal RGB data acquisition.
The FreeFlight6 App provides an easy, intuitive method of manually operating the Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone and is equipped with the following modes to ensure safer flights:
The Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is powered by a smart battery. Each smart battery is able to provide up to twenty-six minutes of flight time; the Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is supplied with three smart batteries providing the flight system with up to seventy-eight minutes of cumulative flight time.
The Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is supplied with a multi-port USB charger suitable for re-powering all three batteries simultaneously (approximate charging time: three hours and thirty minutes).
Despite its compact, lightweight (315g) design, the Parrot Anafi Ultra-Compact Fully Integrated Thermal Drone is robust; it features a carbon-reinforced structure and is able to withstand winds of up to 50 km/h.
The Parrot Anafi Thermal Drone can be unfolded and launched from the user’s hand within seconds. The drone's compact, lightweight, foldable design makes it easy-to-carry as it can be transported in the supplied small shoulder bag which is also capable of containing a smartphone and/or tablet.
