The Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular is a handheld thermal imager ideal for scouting, spotting, and hunting.

Thermal Imaging

Equipped with a European Lynred sensor with a 384x288px resolution, the Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular captures footage even in difficult conditions such as rain, fog, and high atmospheric humidity. Moreover, a fast aperture germanium F35/1.0 lens helps to deliver a clear and detailed thermal image. Combined, the sensor and lens provide a detection range of up to 1300m (for a standard 1.8m-tall object).

Three levels of signal amplification along with a smoothing filter and fine brightness and contrast adjustments provide high-quality rendering of the target, objects, and background, allowing you to detect animals at significant distances under different temperature and weather conditions.

Variable Magnification

Variable magnification (2x to 8x) also provides better object recognition as the digital zoom (up to 4x) improves focus. The zoom can be adjusted in 2x steps or continuously allowing you to optimise your field-of-view as required.

Field-of-View & Picture-in-Picture Mode

The Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular has a 10.7° field-of-view making it ideal for wide-angle viewing, observing in motion, or watching moving objects. When activated, the Picture-in-Picture mode will bring up a small window at the top of the display showing a 2x or 4x magnified target area, allowing you to focus on your quarry without losing the overall field of view.

8 Selectable Colour Palettes

The Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular’s eight colour palettes can be used to optimise the imager for particular applications and/or for use under specific conditions:

  • White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot are ideal for object detection
  • Rainbow and Ultramarine increase recognition and identification
  • Red Monochrome, Sepia, and Violet are suitable for long observation at night

High-Contrast AMOLED Display

Improved colour rendering and a quick response ensure the high-contrast, power-saving AMOLED display delivers sharp, smooth imaging even in frosty conditions.

Built-in Photo & Video Recorder

Capture images and videos using the integrated recorder. Media can be saved to Pulsar’s cloud; registered Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular owners receive 16GB of Cloud space.

Integrated Wi-Fi & Stream Vision 2 Compatibility

Integrated Wi-Fi connects the Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular to an Android/iOS smartphone/tablet with the Stream Vision 2 App installed enabling wireless image transfer, access to the Pulsar Cloud, remote operation, and wireless software updates for the Axion 2 XQ35. In addition to a standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel, the Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular includes a 5GHz Wi-Fi channel which provides better bandwidth, faster data transfer, and improved connection stability.

Compact, Lightweight & Rugged

Weighing just 350g, this pocket-sized thermal monocular with a symmetrical design is easy to handle by both right- and left-handed users. The Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular’s light yet strong magnesium alloy housing protects its internal components from shocks, drops, moisture, heat and cold; it also dissipates heat from electronics, minimises image noise, and helps to deliver consistent operation.

Long Battery Life

The Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular is powered by a high-capacity APS5 rechargeable battery that provides up to eleven hours of operating time from a single charge. To conserve battery life, the Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular features a fast five-second start-up; this means it can be left off until the moment it is needed.

The Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 Thermal Imaging Monocular is a highly sensitive, ergonomic, and efficient thermal imager.
