With a state-of-the-art design and superior thermal imaging technology, the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope offers premium thermal imaging in a traditional-style aircraft-grade 30mm-tube. Please see the video below for a quick introduction to the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope.

The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes a 320 x 240-pixel microbolometer sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch and high germanium optics. It has a horizontal field-of-view of 5.8° and a detection range of 1700m even in complete darkness. Additionally, this IR imager has a magnification of 4.0 to 16.0x and a frame rate of 50Hz.

The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s digital zoom improves focus, allowing for better target identification and enabling the user to see more environmental details, such as branches, leaves, grass and terrain. Additionally, the high-definition, full-colour, AMOLED display also improves the clarity and detail of thermal media. The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s display provides the user with a sharp, richly contrasted image which is coloured all the way through the field-of-view. In addition to providing sharp, vivid, high-resolution thermal footage, the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s AMOLED technology saves power.

Moreover, the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes a range of user-selectable colour palettes allowing the operator to highlight the details most relevant to him/her. This IR riflescope includes traditional White Hot and Black Hot colour palettes, as well as Red Hot, Rainbow and Ultramarine for highlighting the most intense parts of an animal’s heat signature, whilst Violet, Red Monochrome and Sepia are useful when the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is being used over a long period of time as they reduce eye fatigue.

The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope also includes imaging functions such as Picture-in-Picture mode that allows the user to magnify particular areas of the image (10% of the FOV) without losing the overall field-of-view. The highlighted area is displayed in a box at the top-centre of the image. The PIP mode is useful when determining precise shot placement.

Other functions present on the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope include the ability to save up to five zeroing profiles with ten distance coordinates saved to each profile; these profiles can be selected as necessary allowing the user to quickly adapt the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope to a variety of situations. This function enables quick rifle change-outs and in-the-field adjustments.

Accessing the required settings, modes and functions is easy via the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope's simple user-interface consisting of three function buttons located at the top of the IR rifle scope and on the left side encoder.

In addition to providing access to the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s many features and functions, the simple user-interface facilitates the recording and saving of thermal footage and images. The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is able to capture and save IR images as .jpg files and can record thermal videos in an MPEG-4 format. It features an onboard 16GB internal memory which is capable of storing hours of videos or thousands of photos.

Further to this, the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s Wi-Fi capabilities and compatibility with the Pulsar Stream Vision App means that it is able to communicate with the user’s smartphone or tablet allowing him/her to transfer and/or stream infrared images and videos to the smartphone or tablet. In addition to functioning as a second display, the user’s smartphone or tablet can also function as a second control allowing the user to access settings and controls remotely.

In addition to advanced thermal technology and adaptability, the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope has been designed for longevity. To this end it will support future software consisting of new features and functions that are designed to improve the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s performance.

More practically, the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope has a rugged, reinforced, all-metal housing designed to improve the riflescope's durability whilst ensuring it remains lightweight and easy to handle. The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope has an IPX7 rating: it is waterproof and resistant to heavy rainfall, snow and other precipitation making it ideal for outdoor applications in all seasons. The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope will remain functional even after submersion in up to three feet of water for thirty minutes.

Furthermore, the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is recoil rated up to .375, 2-gauge and 9.3x64 making it suitable for use on large calibres. It can be mounted onto 30mm scope rings without using specialised tools or equipment. Additionally, Pulsar offers a number of customisable reticle options including scalable ballistic styles in the following colour options: black, white, red and green.

In addition to thermal imaging longevity and physical longevity, the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope has been designed to remain operational for prolonged periods of time. Its instant start-up saves energy thereby prolonging the riflescope’s battery life. As this infrared imager starts up instantly it can be kept switched off then rapidly activated at the appropriate moment.

The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope features a dual battery system with an internal and external battery. The external battery can be replaced quickly and extends the Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s operating time.

The Pulsar Thermion XM38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope (50Hz) is a sophisticated, state-of-the-art infrared imaging riflescope specifically designed for professional hunters.
