When working with and testing portable appliances, you may come across instances where the fuse in the appliance is no longer working and must be replaced. You may also come across situations where the wrong size fuse has been fitted to an appliance and must also be replaced.

In both of these cases, a selection of various sizes would be needed. If a PAT technician does not hold any spares, the appliance testing procedure will not be fully completed on these two items.

Whichever size you need, be sure to always have enough with you for safety and peace of mind. You don’t want to get to a job and have to leave again to go and get fuses.
