The Crowcon T4 Portable Personal Multigas Detectors have been optimised to protect the user against dangerous levels of oxygen, hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide and methane.
A new feature on the Crowcon T4 is its improved detection of long-chain hydrocarbons, such as pentane and hexane. For a quick introduction to the Crowcon T4 Portable Multigas Detector please consult the following video.
The T4 Personal Multigas Detector features sensors corresponding to each gas. Through ensuring that each gas has its own sensor, the Crowcon T4 can be trusted to deliver reliable, quick and effective detection. Should this product detect hazardous levels of one or more of the configured gases it will alert the user in a number of ways:
Unlike other gas detectors, the Crowcon T4 features a TWA (Time Weighted Average) function. When activated this function ensures that the levels of toxic gases detected are not lost once the T4 is turned off. As these values are retained the user can safely switch the multigas detector off over the course of a break, knowing that when they switch it back on to resume work the detector will continue to add to these retained values throughout the rest of his/her shift, making sure the user does not expose him/herself to unsafe levels of any of the configured gases. Further to this, the Crowcon T4 puts the user’s piece of mind at the forefront of its design and so features, in addition to a backlit display which can be flipped 180° for easy reading even when on the user’s person, a positive safety indicator. This indicator consists of two lights: red and green. The green light will shine when the Crowcon T4 Portable Personal Multigas Detector is operating correctly. The green light will cease shining and the red light will appear if there is an issue with the Crowcon T4, such as:

Its single button operation ensures that this product is simple-to-use even without training and/or when wearing gloves, whilst its eighteen-hour battery life and anti-shock rubber casing both protect this product’s longevity. This casing insulates the product against water and dust ingress (IP65 and IP67) and prevents damage should the Crowcon T4 fall from a height of up to 4m.
