Extech 461995 Combination Contact/Laser Photo Tachometer

An upgraded version of the Extech 461895, the 461995 improves upon the abilities of its sister device by introducing the ability to carry out non-contact RPM measurements between a range of 10 to 99999.

This tachometer is actually a combination device so as well as carrying out RPM measurement via the use of an IR laser beam the 461995 is also suitable for carrying out direct contact RPM measurements as well as calculations of linear surface speed.

The IR mode of the 461995 tachometer ensures the user's safety when working on fast-moving machinery that isn't suitable for testing safely using contact RPM measurement procedures. The unit actually shines a bright laser beam to accurately line up the point of measurement using IR mode, and this beam can be used up to 6.5ft from the target with high accuracy to promote user safety.

This tester is constructed with continuous use in mind and is a handheld, portable unit with a large LCD screen that reverses depending on which way the device is held (the IR and contact functions are on either side of the device).
