The Fluke 1552A-12 Calibration Stik Thermometer has the following probe dimensions: 6.35mm x 305mm (diameter x length). It can be used to measure temperatures between -80°C to 300°C. This instrument has an accuracy of ±0.05°C across its full range making it suitable for conducting measurements in process manufacturing plants for chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food or petroleum products, where inaccuracies of temperature can cause erroneous volumetric measurements.

The accuracy specification supplied with this instrument accounts for a number of uncertainties, including drift, for up to a year. This ensures that the displayed temperature is the accurately measured temperature and removes the need for the user to conduct additional calculations to account for variables, as may be the case with mercury-in-glass thermometers.

Furthermore, unlike with mercury thermometers, the Fluke 1552A-12 Calibration Stik Thermometer does not require the external conditions to match its original calibration conditions in order for it to conduct precise temperature measurements.

The Fluke 1552A-12 Calibration Stik Thermometer is calibrated as a single system (i.e. the probe and readout unit are calibrated together) and is supplied with an NVLAP-accredited and NIST-traceable calibration. This instrument can be easily recalibrated using its three-point calibration function.

Moreover, not only is this instrument’s thin-film RTD sensor more resilient than a traditional mercury thermometer (there are no risks of mercury spills using this temperature tester), it also doesn’t require as deep an immersion depth, needing only 7cm / 2.8” to conduct precise temperature measurements. Additionally, the accuracy of these measurements is not compromised by heat loss caused by stem conduction.

Once the temperature source has reached a suitable stability the Fluke 1552A-12 Calibration Stik Thermometer’s stability indicator will alert the user, allowing him/her to conduct an accurate and reliable temperature reading. Prior to the temperature source attaining stability, this indicator will also show which way it is trending (rising or falling).

The user is able to view temperature readings in °C or °F and in a resolution of 0.1°, 0.01° or 0.001°. Temperatures are visible via the backlit, LCD display which may be rotated up to 90° in order to ensure the measurement is always viewable.

Adding to this instrument’s practicality is the inclusion of an Auto-Power-Off function which can be engaged to prolong the Fluke 1552A-12 Calibration Stik Thermometer’s battery life for up to 300 hours. Moreover, this instrument’s low battery indicator and stop-measure function prevent the user from conducting inaccurate and/or unreliable measurements as a result of low battery power.

Finally, the Fluke 1552A-12 Calibration Stik Thermometer is intrinsically safe. It is compliant with ATEX and IECEx specifications. This instrument serves as a reliable, accurate and practical alternative to traditional mercury thermometers. Its compact, portable design makes it suitable for use across a variety of environments. The Fluke 1552A-12 Calibration Stik Thermometer is suitable for use outside, in areas where explosive gases may be present, and in processing plants.
