Ready to use straight from the box, the Fluke Networks FibreLert Live Fibre Detector is a non-contact fault finder. It can detect optical power in single-mode and multi-mode fibre wavelengths between 850 and 1625nm. Consequently, it is suitable for checking ports, patch cords, and single-mode, multi-mode, UPC, and APC connections. The Fluke Networks FibreLert Live Fibre Detector can also test transceivers.
To use the Fluke Networks FibreLert Live Fibre Detector, simply disconnect the suspected connection and place the Fluke Networks FibreLert Live Fibre Detector close to it. If the Fluke Networks FibreLert Live Fibre Detector detects light, it will beep and display a solid red light. This non-contact method of detection is not only quick and easy but also prevents contamination or damage.
Finally, the Fluke Networks FibreLert Live Fibre Detector is powered by 2x AAA batteries (included). It will power off after five minutes of inactivity to elongated the battery life. Dedicated LEDs indicate the Fluke Networks FibreLert Live Fibre Detector’s battery and operational status.
