The Fluke SB140 Sound Beacon transforms how you conduct leak detection and tightness testing on non-pressurised vessels. By placing the SB140 inside the container and using Fluke Acoustic Imagers externally, you can visually detect ultrasound signals escaping through weld beads, gaskets, seals, hatches, or windows.
Designed for tightness testing, the SB140 emits ultrasound at a frequency that travels long distances through the air with minimal loss. The ultrasound signal inside a vessel escapes through any potential leak points, allowing Fluke Acoustic Imagers to detect and display the leak. When operated in “Beacon Mode,” these imagers simplify leak detection by visually pinpointing problem areas.
