The GMI Tablet Computer for Watcher is a device that allows you to remotely control and simulate gas detection scenarios using specially adapted portable gas detectors from GMI¹. It uses Bluetooth wireless technology to communicate with the gas detectors and send gas values, alarms, faults, and battery status. It is designed for hands-on hazardous or gas emergency training and assessment.
It comes with a protective cover, a quick operation guide, and a UK power cable. Please get in touch if you require an AU, EU, or US power cable. The PS500 instrument has a universal power adaptor.
The tablet runs on Google Nexus 7, Android OS, and has a 7-inch screen (or equivalent). You need to install the GMI Watcher app on the tablet to use it with the gas detectors.
The GMI Watcher app allows you to select the instrument serial number, the instrument mode, the current range, and the target value. You can also send sample faults, battery faults, calibration due warnings, zero checks, and zero faults to the instrument.
The GMI Watcher app has a simple and user-friendly interface that shows the instrument reading and connection status and is compatible with all Gasurveyor 500 Series instruments and the PS500 instrument. The PS500 instrument has the app installed.
