The Hikmicro M20/W Handheld Thermal Imaging Camera is the mid-model in Hikmicro’s M-series of advanced handheld infrared imagers with analysis functionality. Specifically designed for professional applications, the Hikmicro M20 is ideal for maintenance and troubleshooting applications. To deliver crisp infrared imaging, the thermal camera includes a 256 x 192px VOx detector, < 40mk IR sensitivity, and a 25Hz frame rate. It is also equipped with a one-tap level and span; selectable colour palettes; an 8MP digital camera; multiple imaging modes; and a 1-8x digital zoom. Additionally, the Hikmicro M20 Thermal Camera supports a wide temperature range (-20°C to +550°C) enabling accurate measurement. A laser pointer indicates the centre position of the object, helping professionals to capture clear IR images and, therefore, precise temperature readings. Footage is easily viewed via the 640 x 480px, 3.5” LCD and may be sent to an Android smartphone/tablet via Wi-Fi and the Hikmicro Viewer App.

Hikmicro M20 Intelligent Imaging Functions

In addition to eight colour palettes, this Hikmicro thermal camera offers four imaging modes allowing electricians, engineers, and maintenance professionals, to tailor the camera to their needs. These include:

• Thermal: a completely infrared image
• Optical: provides digital photos
• Fusion: overlays digital details onto the IR image
• Picture-in-Picture (PIP): zoom in on a particular area in thermal without losing the overall digital field of view

Moreover, a one-tap level and span function narrows the span and improves infrared contrast throughout the scene, allowing you to focus on important areas of the image and highlight potential problems. Text or audio notes may be saved to images, which also improves inspection efficiency.

Hikmicro Viewer App Compatible

Saved images and videos may be transferred via Wi-Fi to an Android smartphone/tablet with the Hikmicro Viewer App installed. Once media is downloaded to the app, it can be analysed, shared, and/or used to create reports. Once again, this streamlines workflow and improves productivity.

Hikmicro M20 Dependable Design

A high-resolution (640 x 480px), 3.5-inch LCD displays crisp, clear images, while a touchscreen interface ensures the Hikmicro thermal camera is user-friendly. Similarly, a laser pointer helps to maximise precision while an LED torch makes using the M20 in dark locations easy.

Housed in an IP54-rated, 2m-drop-tested casing, this thermal camera is ready for all environments, including industrial sites. Two interchangeable, rechargeable Li-ion batteries deliver up to twelve hours of continuous operation.

Hikmicro M20 vs Hikmicro M20W

There are two versions of this Hikmicro thermal camera available: the M20 and the M20W. The Hikmicro M20W maximises user convenience, offering a focus-free lens. The Hikimicro M20 includes a manual focus. As a result, the Hikmicro M20W has a 0.5m minimum focus distance, while the M20’s minimum focus distance is just 0.1m.
