It has an outer angle range of 0–180° and an inner range of 40–180°, with a protractor scale graduated 320 x 1° and a vernier scale reading to 2-minute divisions for precision up to ±2 minutes. The 150mm blade is bevelled at 45° on one end, and 60° on the other, and the tool includes a right-angle accessory.
