When setting the Mitutoyo Series 141 Inside Micrometer to a length standard, the sleeve is rotated to adjust the index line position. Furthermore, to set the micrometer accurately, an OPTIONAL inside-length standard is required, for instance, a setting ring or inside micro checker.

Finally, to enable measurement inside deep holes, the Mitutoyo Series 141 Inside Micrometer includes a handle extension that screws into the micrometer head.
