The Sauter HE Digital Shore Hardness Tester is a device that can measure the hardness of rubber, plastics, and other materials using the Shore scale. It has a large LCD, a peak hold function, an internal memory for up to 500 readings, and a USB interface for data transfer.
It can test hardness in three different modes: Shore A and Shore D. Shore A is used for soft materials like rubber and elastomers and Shore D is used for hard materials like plastics and epoxides.
The Sauter HE Digital Shore Hardness Tester is suitable for quality control, inspection, and research applications.

- To measure the hardness of plastics through penetration measurement
- Shore A: Rubber, elastomers, neoprene, silicone, vinyl, plastics, felt, leather, and similar material
- Shore D: Plastics, formica, epoxides, plexiglass, etc.

- Limit alarm function, which triggers an audible and visual signal when the value goes below or above the defined limits
