Testo 476 Pocket Strobe Non-Contact Tachometer

Use this tachometer to quickly evaluate RPM and vibration without the need to actually touch the targeted application.

The 476 works by shining a bright xenon flash lamp on whatever it is that needs to be tested. It will then evaluate how fast the overall RPM is of that application, and it can be used effectively to measure things such as turbines. It’s even possible to mount the instrument on a tripod, allowing hands free and non-contact measurements to be taken.

In terms of measurement range, the Testo 476 is able to measure from 30.0 to 12,500rpm with resolution of ±1.0rpm (30.0 to 12,500.0rpm) and accuracy of ±0.01% of measured value (30.0 to 12500rpm). The recommended distance to measurement distance from the targeted application is around 8 inches, allowing the light intensity of the lamp to reach optimum levels.

This product also includes basic memory – it will store the last results taken when it was switched off and will display this when the 476 is switched back on.
