The ABUS Travel USA 148TSA/30C Padlock has been optimised for low-level security applications. It is particularly suited to securing luggage when travelling into, out of and around the USA; this is because it has been tailored to TSA (Transport Security Administration – set up in response to the 11th September 2001 terror attacks) practices.
Its compact size, cable diameter of 2mm and inclusion of a write-on tag makes this padlock ideal for attaching to and securing luggage, whilst its cable shackle ensures that this padlock can be easily opened and closed by the TSA without causing the lock any damage. By pressing the lever located on the side of the padlock the cable shackle can be easily opened; if the cable shackle is opened by the TSA the padlock will display a red indicator. This indicator can be reset by turning the shackle 360° ensuring that the ABUS Travel USA 148TSA/30C Padlock can be used multiple times.
In addition to this, the three-digit pin code used to open this padlock can be reset allowing the user to tailor this padlock to his/her needs.
Therefore the ABUS Travel USA 148TSA/30C Padlock is a practical, versatile security product ideal for travelling into and around the USA.
