The Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter is a high-accuracy frequency meter. It has a 0.001Hz to 3000MHz frequency range with a high input sensitivity.

High Accuracy

The Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter features a high-quality temperature-compensated internal frequency reference (TCXO). It has a low ageing rate and is stable to ±1ppm over the full temperature range.

Furthermore, the TCXO has a short warm-up time. This means accurate measurements can be determined even when the Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter is being used as a portable, battery-powered meter.

Moreover, when an external reference standard is connected to the Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter’s external reference input, it will automatically change over from the internal timebase.

High Resolution

The Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter utilises a reciprocal counting technique to provide a high-resolution at all frequencies: eight-digit readings are determined in one second, nine-digit readings are determined in ten seconds, and ten-digit readings are determined in one-hundred seconds. Ten-digit measurements have a granularity of fewer than two counts in the least significant digit.

Ten-Digit LCD

Measurements are displayed on the Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter’s high-contrast, ten-digit display with a digit height of 12.5mm. The user can view measurements in Hz, kHz, MHz, ns, us, ms or s. The Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter also includes a comprehensive set of annunciators. Between the ten-digit display and annunciators, the user can view the input configuration and function, measurement time and status, external reference connection, and low battery indicator.

Flexible Signal Conditioning

The Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter features two inputs optimised for use at different frequency ranges.

Input A

Input A is designed for use with frequencies in the range 0.001Hz to >125MHz. It features configurable coupling (AC or DC), input impedance (1MΩ or 50Ω), 1:1 or 5:1 attenuation, a fully variable threshold, and an active edge.

Input B

A nominal 50Ω input for use with frequencies in the range 80MHz to >3GHz.

Multiple Measurement Functions

The Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter includes the following measurement modes: Frequency, Period, Pulse Width, Duty Cycle, Frequency Ratio, and Event Counting (totalise).

USB Interface

The Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter’s integrated USB interface enables remote control using an RS-232 protocol via a computer’s USB port.

The Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter supports the remote commands of its predecessor, the Aim-TTi TF830.

Battery Operation

To enable portability and use in remote locations, the Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter can be battery powered. Internal rechargeable NiMH batteries provide up to twenty-four hours of power and can be recharged within four hours using the supplied AC charger.

Alternatively, the Aim-TTi TF930 3GHz Bench/ Portable Universal Counter can be powered via the integrated USB port.
