Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer with QuickStick Short Description

The Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer with QuickStick Short takes relative humidity and surface temperature measurements. This combined with the Hygromaster2’s ability to perform multiple psychrometric calculations make it particularly well suited to general air quality inspections, for example testing and monitoring HVAC equipment and dehumidifiers.

The Protimeter Hyromaster2 is able to measure relative humidity between 1 and 100% when used with the QuickStick Short; whilst its integrated IR temperature probe allows it to take non-contact surface temperature readings between -20°C and 80°C / -4°F and 176°F.

The fast responding thermo-hygrometer displays temperature and relative humidity readings on its colour, LCD display.

In addition to this, results may be saved to the instrument at the touch of a button. Alternatively, the user can program the Protimeter Hygromaster2 to log readings automatically over the course of a measurement period. When the thermo-hygrometer is set to record data automatically it is able to save up to 6100 readings with date and time stamps. This limit is extended to 8000 when logging individual readings manually.

Protimeter Digital Mini Moisture Meter Description

The Protimeter Digital Mini Moisture Meter is a pin-type moisture meter calibrated for wood.

When used on wood the Protimeter Digital Mini Moisture Meter will display the actual percentage moisture content (%MC). However, this instrument can also be used to measure the moisture content of other materials such as concrete and drywall. In these instances the Protimeter Digital Mini Moisture Meter will display the wood moisture equivalent (%WME). This product has a %WME range of 7.9% to 99%.

As this instrument is a pin-type moisture meter, it takes surface moisture content readings by measuring the resistance of the material-under-inspection between the two pin electrodes. This means that the moisture content results will be specific to the area between the pins.

To extend the Protimeter Digital Mini Moisture Meter’s scope-for-use, the user may purchase the following additional probes to conduct sub-surface moisture measurements:

• Hammer Electrode – for wood
• Deep Wall Probes – for solid walls
• EIFS Probe – for exterior insulation and finishing systems

Once surface or sub-surface moisture content levels have been detected, the Protimeter Digital Mini will show the value on its large, digital display and will indicate the severity of each result using colour coded LEDs. If a reading is deemed good green lights will show; yellow lights will become visible if the measurement is borderline, and red lights illuminate if the result indicates dampness.

In addition to measuring the surface moisture of a specific area, the Protimeter Digital Mini Moisture Meter can be set to Reference mode in order to compare surface moisture content results detected within a building, or over the course of a measurement period.

Finally, in terms of its physicality, the Protimeter Digital Mini Moisture Meter has been optimised to be simple-to-use and durable. Its rugged casing includes a removable cap designed to protect the electrode pins from damage when the meter is not in use.
