The Protimeter Hygromaster2 with Hygrostick Kit 2 includes the Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer and a variety of accessories optimised to make taking equilibrium surface relative humidity readings and surface temperature measurements quick and easy. This kit includes:
Using the Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer with the Hygrostick, the operator is able to take relative humidity readings between 30 and 100%. The Hygromaster2 can also be used to take non-contact, surface temperature readings due to the inclusion of an infra-red, temperature probe. It has a temperature range of 20°C to 80°C / -4°F to 176°F.
In addition to this, the Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer is also capable of calculating dew point temperature and vapour pressure as well as a number of other psychrometric calculations. For further information regarding the Protimeter Hygromaster2’s capabilities, please see the video below.
The Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer can be used with the included Hygrostick to assess flood damage; monitor the progress of restoration projects; complete building surveys and test HVAC equipment. Additionally, it can be used with the included humidity box and extension lead to determine the surface relative humidity of concrete floors and walls. In order to achieve this measurement, the Hygrostick is inserted into the humidity box which is placed on the concrete surface and connected to the Protimeter Hygromaster2 using the extension lead.
Alternatively, the thermo-hygrometer may be used with the QuickStick Short (NOT included). When used with this module the Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer has a relative humidity range of 1-100%. It remains suitable for testing HVAC equipment, however, it can no longer be used to measure the surface relative humidity of concrete walls or flooring.
All the items included in this kit have been optimised for use in rugged environments. The Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer has also been designed to be simple to use. Its intuitive menu and conveniently located function buttons allow the user to navigate the meter’s features and modes easily. Using this interface the instrument can be set to record data automatically. When logging data automatically, the Protimeter Hygromaster2 can save a maximum of 6100 results with date and time stamps.
If the user prefers he/she may log measurements manually. When recording data manually, the instrument has a maximum capacity for 8000 results with date and time stamps.
Finally, the results gathered using the Protimeter Hygromaster2 Thermo-Hygrometer, and accompanying modules, are easily viewable on the Hygromaster2’s colour, LCD display.
The Protimeter Hygromaster2 with Hygrostick Kit 2 is ideal for taking surface temperature and surface relative humidity readings of concrete floors and walls. This combination of instruments is extremely versatile and rugged, making them well suited to a number of other building and inspection applications.
