Measure the level of insulation between two contact points with the Chauvin Arnoux CA6240 Microhmmeter. Applications for this tester include contact resistance of switches and circuit breakers, earth continuity evaluations, quality of welding spots, surface condition and metallising, graphite electrode testing and more.
To protect this tester from harm and ensure it is ideal for use out in the field the CA6240 comes built into its own protective carry case with flip-lid. When closed, the screen, knobs and dials are protected from damage and it is possible to carry the tester like a briefcase thanks to an included carrying handle.
Testing with the CA6240 is performed by using a 4-wire testing method, ensuring that the effects of lead resistance and contact resistance is eliminated. This helps to make sure that testing accuracy is as high as possible.
This tester features six separate measurement ranges: 5 to 3999μΩ, 4 to 39.99mΩ, 40 to 399.9mΩ, 400 to 3999mΩ, 4 to 39.99Ω and 40 to 399.9Ω. All tests are carried out with high accuracy of ±0.25% + 2 counts using measurement current of 10A, 1A, 100mA and 10mA.
