The FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-DTC 2x Thermocouple Probe Data Logger is supplied with two type-K thermocouple probes with 1.5m cables allowing it to measure and log the temperature of its immediate surroundings. These probes have a temperature range of 0 to 200°C.

The FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-DTC 2x Thermocouple Probe Data Logger unit itself is able to measure temperatures between -270°C (-454°F) and approximately +1300°C (+2372°F) when paired with the appropriate probes. This instrument can be used with alternative type-K thermocouple probes to measure temperatures between -200°C (-358°F) and +1350°C (+2462°F). Furthermore, it has the following measurement ranges when used with type-J and type-T thermocouple probes:

• Type-J: -200°C (-328°F) to +1190°C (+2174°F)
• Type-T: -200°C (-328°F) to +390°C (+734°F)

As the FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-DTC features two channels it can be connected to two thermocouple probes at any one time allowing it to measure temperatures for two areas simultaneously, for instance, two locations within a refrigerator.

Measurements are streamed to the FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud (requires a monthly subscription) via Wi-Fi. A connection to the FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud is established during configuration using FilesThruTheAir’s free 21CFR Wi-Fi Sensor Software (NOT included), a connection to the user’s chosen Wi-Fi network is also made during configuration. Once connected to the specified Wi-Fi network, the FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-DTC 2x Thermocouple Probe Data Logger can be placed anywhere within its range.  

If the data logger should lose connection with the Wi-Fi network and/or the FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud, it will log temperatures to its memory (for a maximum of 30 days when the sample rate is set to 10 seconds)  until it is able to re-connect with the FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud.

In addition to this, during configuration high and low alarms can be programmed to the FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-DTC 2x Thermocouple Probe Data Logger. Breaches of upper and lower alarm limits are communicated via an alarm indicator.

When used with the FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud, the FilesThruTheAir EL-WIFI-21CFR-DTC 2x Thermocouple Probe Data Logger is suitable for use as part of 21 CFR compliant systems. The FilesThruTheAir 21 CFR Cloud allows users to manage and configure his/her data loggers remotely. Via this app the user can perform the following actions:

• Access event logs
• Set-up email alerts
• Create user accounts with specific authorisations
• View comprehensive audit trail records
• Authority sign-off
