It might be small in size, but this Extech infrared thermometer is still capable of carrying out infrared temperature measurements over an extremely wide range of -58 to 1200°F (-50 to 650°C) with 0.1° resolution up to 999.9°.
Portable and lightweight, the Extech 42510A is made for use in just one hand and thanks to the inclusion of a built-in laser pointer the point you wish to measure can be exactly calculated and the results will be relayed back through the device's backlit LCD screen.
The unit also allows users to set high and low setpoints, which when exceeded will cause the Extech 42510A to emit audible tones when the temperature detected exceeds or is below either of these setpoints.
Additional features of this IR thermometer include a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio, over-range indicator, data holding, and MAX/MIN temperature measurement functionality. The emissivity of the unit can also be adjusted to use the tester comfortably and accurately on different types of surfaces.
