The Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer included in this kit is supplied with two sensors of the same type. These sensors include an NVLAP accredited calibration certificate and are NIST and data traceable. They do not require any additional apparatus for recalibration as these instruments feature a memory chip embedded in their housing containing all the relevant calibration constants. This enables the operator to use the sensors interchangeably.
Furthermore, these sensors can be saved using unique, sixteen-character identifiers allowing the user to monitor and record data in reference to the sensor used to acquire it. Again this makes it easy to use sensors interchangeably.
Sensors can be connected to the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer’s inputs via extension cables thereby allowing the user to measure temperature and relative humidity for two locations that are up to 100 feet away from the tester. These measurements may be viewed graphically and/or statistically via the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer’s large, backlit display. He/she is also able to view data gathered by both inputs simultaneously via this display. In addition to this, the user can create up to sixteen customised display settings which are accessible via a single button.
Further to this instrument’s temperature and relative humidity measurement capabilities, the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer also includes a number of statistical and maths functions. The functions featured on this instrument include:
This instrument also includes an alarm function allowing the user to create alarms for temperature, relative humidity, the rate of change in temperature, the rate of change in relative humidity, and instrument fault conditions. The user may also set the instrument to issue a visible (flashing display), audible (beeping) or 0-12V (which triggers a process control system) alarm, when upper or lower limits are breached. This adds to the adaptability of this tester, allowing the user to tailor the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer to his/her preferences.
The measurements and statistical results acquired using the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer may be saved to its extensive memory with the capacity to record up to 400 000 date- and time-stamped readings. The tester will automatically store the daily summary statistics (minimum reading, maximum reading and maximum rates of change) for the most recent sixty days.
This instrument can be used with the included Fluke 9936A LogWare III Single PC-Licence Software to conduct real-time data logging and storage, and may be connected to a PC up to 100 feet away using an RF modem.
Alternatively, its RS-232 interface can be used to send data directly to a printer in real-time. This interface also facilitates the user’s ability to connect the instrument to other Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometers.
As well as an RS-232 interface this instrument is supplied with a backup battery which ensures that it is able to maintain measurements for up to sixteen hours after a power failure.
Therefore the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer is a reliable, practical, adaptable, and multifunctional test instrument. It is ideal for individuals performing relative humidity and temperature measurements in multiple locations.
The Fluke 9936A LogWare III Single-PC Licence Software can be used to log data acquired by the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer in real time.
It is capable of remotely monitoring and logging an unlimited number of concurrent log sessions which are saved to a single database. Information acquired by the compatible Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer can be sent to the user’s PC and by extension the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software via Ethernet, RS-232 or wireless connections.
This software can accommodate up to two temperature and two humidity inputs, allowing it to log data from the Fluke 1620A-X-256 Thermo-Hygrometer’s two channels simultaneously. Alternatively, this software can be configured to log data from one of the channels only, again allowing the user to tailor the program to his/her requirements.
Adaptability is at the forefront of this software’s design; the user is able to alter the graph trace colour, alarms and statistics as required. He/she can also begin and end log sessions using this software and can change the rate of the sample intervals, thereby allowing the Fluke 1620A to be configured remotely via the user’s PC.
When swapping the Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer’s sensors the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software does not require the user to shut down the log session (this feature is known as ‘hot-swapping’).
Information gathered using the Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software and Fluke 1620A-X-256 DewK Thermo-Hygrometer may be organised into customised graphs. The Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software includes a zoom function allowing the user to focus on particular data points, which may be highlighted and annotated. This software also includes a number of statistical functions facilitating greater data analysis, these include:
Reports created and printed using this software will also detail the number of out-of-tolerance temperature and humidity measurements.
In addition to viewing logged data, the user may also view historical data which is displayed in a grid-style spreadsheet and may be organised and/or viewed according to sensor (model/ serial number) location or log session. Logged data can be exported to HTML, RTF or ASCII text whilst graphs and historical data may be printed.
The Fluke 9936A LogWare III Software includes security features such as passwords for individuals and/or groups, an integrated administrator account, pre-defined user groups and customisable permissions. This allows the user to grant and/or restrict individuals’ access to information thereby protecting the integrity of the collected data.
In addition to this, the user is able to configure the software to send emails to approved persons when log sessions begin and end, when log sessions are aborted, as well as when the Fluke 1620A’s battery is low, a sensor calibration is due, and when a temperature/ humidity alarm is breached.
Finally, should the Fluke 1620A-X-256 Thermo-Hygrometer suffer a power failure, then to prevent the loss of data information saved to the tester can be imported into the Fluke’s 9936A LogWare III Software.
The Fluke 9936A LogWare III Single-PC Licence Software adds to the versatility of the Fluke 1620A-X-256 Thermo-Hygrometer. It is a comprehensive program capable of facilitating extensive data logging, storing and analysis.
